{30 Days of CSI:NY} Day 03: Favorite Season » Season 2

This is a tough one to answer. There’s parts of every season that have stood out to me in a good way (the tone of the episodes, the story arcs of that season, etc). Seasons 1 & 5 are probably my runners up. But season 2 will always hold a special place in my heart. The crimes were fun, the team started coming together in a way that felt natural and friendly, and the pace of the season was lively. Every episode had a great energy and that’s something that isn’t always the case for other seasons. It was also the season I first connected with and the first one I sat down and watched in order. I’ve rewatched every episode from season 2 multiple times yet even though I know “who did it” they’re still fun to revisit. I also think that this was the season that used the two-case format the best. We got to see the team broken up into all kinds of duos (which was not really the case in season 1) and that helped both character development and building realistic relationships between team members. Not to mention season 2 introduced us to Lindsay, Sid, and Adam: three additions who in my opinion helped breathe new life into the material.
